The Community Foundation of McHenry County has awarded a Mission Grant to the Marengo Park District. The grant will be made in two $10,000 payments over the next two years. The funds will be used to refurbish the old tennis courts at the park into new Athletic Courts for basketball and pickle ball.
This grant is in addition to two State of Illinois grants the park has received which included a CURES grant for $39,000 and a Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) grant for $75,000 which the park received with the help of State Senator Syverson.
