The Marengo Park District has opened a fund at The Community Foundation for McHenry County to launch a fund-raising effort for an exciting new community space called “Venue in the Park”.
“Venue in the Park” will transform unused space previously occupied by the outdoor pool into a sustainable, engaging multi-purpose destination. It will feature a modern amphitheater where the community can gather for live concerts and other performances. It will provide an inviting setting with rentable space for private events. Sand volley courts will encourage players to test their skills, while restored showers will offer a place to rinse off after a game. An invigorating splash pad will welcome kids and parents for family play.
