COVID GUIDELINES

Since the start of the pandemic, the park district has diligently followed the COVID guidelines as a safety measure for the protection of park participants and legal protection of the park district. As a result of the Governor’s Executive Order under the Restore Illinois Plan the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO), the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Phase 4 All Sports Policy were used to development the guidelines . This includes the wearing of masks while participating in group fitness and team sports. In order for our travel soccer teams to participate in soccer this spring, the Northern Illinois Soccer League required all participants to wear masks. This was a result of the fact that the insurance companies for most of the park districts required it. We are hopeful that the guidelines will be relaxed in the near future and if so the park district will continue to follow the guidelines in place at the time as was communicated through all park information during the registration process.
