Brandon Knox started today at the Park District as our new Recreation/Fitness Supervisor.
Brandon has a BS degree in Exercise and Sports Studies from Benedictine University where he was a member of the baseball team. He did his internship with the Westmont Park District and also with Functional Effect in Downers Grove where he conducted small group and private fitness training sessions as well as administrative duties. He was founder and owner of Optimum Sports Development which provided sports programming to the Shorewood and Yorkville Park Districts for 7-16 year olds in track and field, baseball, basketball and soccer. Additionally, he is founder and owner of Game is the Name which conducts E-sports tournaments and events. Most recently he has served as the manager of Anytime Fitness in Minooka. Please join me in welcoming Brandon to the Park District staff. He will be a great addition to an outstanding current staff and will enable us to expand our programming and fitness services.
