Letter from The President
Dear Residents,
Something for Everyone… From soccer to volleyball, senior games and senior workouts, high intensity interval training and spinning, leisurely strolls through the park, disk golf, theatrical performances, family events, seasonal camps and a state-of-the-art fitness center! The Marengo Park District offers something for everyone and on behalf of the Staff and Board of Commissioners, I invite you to explore our park district offerings.
Together with my fellow commissioners we are actively working to eliminate debt by restructure aging bonds, paying off loans and cutting expenses – all while growing or recreational offerings. We are in the process of adopting a Board Policy Manual. This “living document” will serve as the guiding philosophies for the Park District for years to come.
We are continually working for alternative revenue sources to help improve our park facilities and to enhance our recreational offerings.
We always welcome your participation and communication about how the Park District is performing and we welcome your suggestions for improvement.
Together as a team, we will Make Marengo Parks Great Again.
