We are thrilled to celebrate the beginning of something truly special in Marengo. The Venue in the Park features an amphitheater, sand volleyball courts, bags and bocce ball courts, concessions, and a beer garden.
The Venue in the Park is located in the heart of Indian Oaks Park, surrounded by nature. We’re not just opening a new music venue; we are creating a space where special occasions can be celebrated. It’s a place where art, culture, and community come together in harmony. This venue is designed with you in mind: to provide an intimate yet exciting environment for music lovers of all kinds.
Whether you’re here for your favorite band, a new experience, or just the joy of being part of something fresh and exciting, Venue in the Park is a place where memories are made, where every note echoes through the trees, and where the magic of music fills the air.
We’ve worked incredibly hard to bring this vision to life, and none of it would be possible without the support of our incredible team, the talented artists, and most importantly, all of YOU- the wonderful people who make up the vibrant community we serve.
As we embark on this new chapter, we want you to feel at home here. This space is not just ours, but yours too. Step into the spotlight and share your voice at The Venue’s Open Mic Night! Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a local band, or trying something new, our stage is open to all — musicians, poets, comedians, storytellers, and creatives of every kind.
Bring your talent, your friends, and your good vibes. We’ve got the mic, the lights, and a welcoming crowd ready to cheer you on. Sign-ups start now, performances kick off at 6:30 pm. Sign up early to grab your slot! Let your voice be heard. See you on stage!

Recreation Leagues
Marengo Park District now offers a variety of recreation leagues including: volleyball, cornhole, and bocce ball.
Mixed Sand Volleyball League -sign up NOW as an individual or a team for our Adults only (18 and up)
Mixed league needs 3 Men and 3 Women (or more women than men).
12-week league with a Tournament on Saturday, September 6th.
We have 2 courts, and the game times will be 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm. One-hour games.
Cost is $150.00 per league or $30.00 for an individual.
Payments are due at registration. Hurry and get your team together, there will only be 12 teams!
Bags (Cornhole) Summer League-sign up NOW as an individual or a team for our Adults only (18 and up)
12-week league with a Tournament on Saturday, September 6th.
Two-person teams- Costs $30 per person or $50 per team (2 people) for the season.
Teams rotate match times from week to week. We will contact captains for their FIRST MATCH times after the registration deadline May 15th. Complete schedules come out on your first league night.
Games times will be 6pm, 7pm and 8pm.
Payments are due at registration. Hurry and get your team together!

Rentals
Rent our Venue for your family reunion, corporate event, wedding, memorial, birthday or others significant events. Renters have access to tables and chairs, shelter space, sand volleyball, bags, and bocce ball, jumbo Jenga, and Connect 4. Options include food packages, concessions, inflatables, beer garden & more.
Birthday Party- Book your child’s birthday party. Packages can include wet or dry inflatables, food, and birthday party games such as Jumbo Jenga, Connect 4, etc.
Memorial Service– Host a gathering to honor a deceased loved one.
Weddings– Book your outdoor wedding for up to 300+ people in our Venue with the service in the amphitheater, seating for guests, and room for a tent with tables and chairs for your reception. Bring in your own entertainment and food, and enjoy our area. Packages available.
Reunions/Corporate Gatherings– Host a gathering for your family or employees. Use our concessions, including alcoholic beverages, or bring in your own food. Your family and employees can enjoy a day of music, sand volleyball, bocce ball, bags, and more.
